Goals and Purpose: Responsible for Church Environment. Art and Environment committee members assist in the planning for the liturgical environment and in the preparation of a hospitable and prayerful atmosphere in the worship space in correlation with the changing seasons of the liturgical year.

Responsibilities: Committee members meet at intervals throughout the year to plan for the design, setup and removal and storage of the décor for major feasts and seasons, such as Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter in addition to other special occasions.

Helpful Attributes: Members of the committee are expected to have/or develop an interest in and appreciation for artistic principles in general, liturgical art, liturgical seasons and the principals of liturgical decorations

Time Commitment: 5-6 hours yearly

Training Required: Not applicable

Meeting Schedule: 3 times yearly
