St. Patrick Catholic Church provides faith formation for children in grades K through 8 who attend public schools in McHenry. In doing so, we aim to support the parents in their role as the primary educators of their children. We hope that our families can journey together, called in faith to know, love and serve the Lord and neighbor in hope of heaven.
The plan for the 2024-25 school year, we hope to partner with your families in raising your children in our wonderful Catholic faith. Families have two options to pursue this journey: Sunday Faith Formation or Family Faith Formation, which occurs on a couple of Thursday nights each month. There are documents linked below which will give a clearer picture of what these plans include. If you have any questions, please contact our Religious Education office and Lisa Johnson, our Director of Religious Education at (815)385-2959 or reoffice@stpatrickmchenry.org She will be happy to help you find the best fit for your family.
Additionally, we always welcome catechists and aides to assist in our programs. Volunteers, as both teachers, aides, and facilitators in our family faith formation program, can benefit from participating in faithful education opportunities, growing through teaching the children, and receiving reduced tuition for religious education. It is a wonderful way to serve our parish, and I have always enjoyed being part of the comradery of this ministry within our Church. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Lisa Johnson in the RE office at 815-385-2959 or reoffice@stpatrickmchenry.org
Payment is not necessary at this time. Fees will be the same for Sunday Faith Formation and Family Faith Formation, as both programs require books and supplies to make it possible.
